January 03 Happy New Year 20082007 passed...
2008 begins...
I'm still at the same place, right in front of the computer at Baker&McKenzie. April 15 SongkranFinally the holiday is coming, 5 days throughout Songkran.
Songkran is traditional Thai New Year, ppl nowadays know it as water festival. As it is 'water' festival, going out during these holiday is not safe as ppl like splashing water to whoever pass by. Though you don't want to celebrate with them, you may get wet or get white with the talc. The situation gets worse if the water splashing gangs drink alcohol. Therefore, drive a car when you have to go out.
Plan on Tuesday is going to Amaltery, the cocktail ice-cream shop. Hope Pak will not be sick of jet-lack and the most important point is that "I hope the shop will open". Last Wednesday I went to have dinner with ARA and TC. First we planned to go to Coffee Beans and imagined of absorbing yummy cake. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed for Songkran holiday until 21 Apr. Then we had 'exotic american cuisine' nearby instead. December 31 New Year EveAfter the last movie, Superman Return, in June, yesterday I saw the movie, 'the Holiday'. Thanks Verdi for accompanying me. The sentence,
"I'll be leaving in nine days.", said by the actress reminds me of the time in Taipei, when I joined OCAC. It's quite a long time ago. What are you guys doing during New Year's holidays? I'm home, get up (super)late, surf the internet (actually I've to check emails, preparing for the closing date on Wednesday), copy Chinese lessons I didn't take class, ...hmmm...wanna hang out somewhere with family or friends. As weekdays were spent at the office (over 15 hours each day) Well, my parents go to Chiang Mai and some other northern provinces during this four days. So, spending time with family is impossible...
Eh, tomorrow, new year day,,, bro invites me to the floating market with him and his girlfriend. Will I be lonely if I join them? Especially without a camera. Anyway, it's nonsense to buy a new camera today just for tomorrow trip. Or if I won't join them, what will I do tomorrow? Except for work or some other things relating to LAW, nothing special...It's NEW YEAR's HOLIDAY!!!!! HOLIDAY!!! It should have something special in our life!!!

December 02 DecemberHi there!
November has passed...therefore, I'm gonna pass the probation soon. As last week I received the email from HR department informing "End of Probation for PJ" effective on 11 Dec. One of the most delighting thing after probation is that I can take the annual leave. ^_^
If you were not at my position, you could not understand how tired a legal consultant is (especially when the deadline is approaching). Though I took all day (and half night) in the air-conditioned office on the comfortable chair.
On Friday evening, as the building maintenance department would come to spread the pesticide (they said that 2006 is the pest control year) I have to leave office early, before 8 p.m. Then ARA, WY, SPA, NV, TC and I went to have dinner at the seafood restaurant in Ratchadapisek/ Rama IX area. Its name is "Laem Charoen, Bkk Branch". The food is kinda good since there're lots of shrimps WOW!! And it did not shock us with the bill after finishing all dishes. Thanks WY for this meal.
Well, I really wanna go somewhere and take pictures... it would be nice if that place is full of flowers. (wanna use SG+6 taking MACRO pictures again) Btw, the office trip to Cha-am will be set on 15-17 Dec at Novotel Cha-am.

Everyone - I would like some drinks with alcohol!!! November 18 Due DiligenceIt has been so long long time I haven't updated this blog. The reason you merely know is that tons of work at the firm. Even today, Saturday, I also have to come to the office (again) to clear some work. Last week and this week we have a due diligence project, which there is limited time to complete the project, both examining the documents and writing reports. This is my first time conducting due diligence. Some say that it's good to have chance to conduct due diligence since you can go out and you can record timesheet full time, in addition, you don't have to 'use your brain' so much. I agree, but I think that to do so is quite boring particularly when you are in the data room and examine the documents. It's so so so boring. October 14 Birthday Celebration WeekLast Sunday, 8 October was my birthday.
First celebration is the pain from the dental surgery on Saturday. (aww...what kind of 'celebration' on earth is it?) I got up around 1 a.m. due to such severe pain to take a medicine. However, in the following afternoon, I could enjoy with the first driving course without pain anymore. Moreover, I could even eat the normal rice. (though i can use only left side teeth)
On Monday, coming back to work... found the wishing card from Vem on my desk. After lunch CMPG lawyers, especially the partners and the associates who supervise me, gave me an impressive little party with a winnie the pooh cake. (as i'm the youngest staff in the practice group) After work, I went to play badminton.
Tuesday, U came to apply for a job here and gave me a present. Late afternoon, it rained cats and dogs and caused the catastrophe traffic jam on almost every road especially around here, Bangkok downtown. Don't think of going home early... so I went to have dinner with NAT, WY, PSK and SPA at the restaurant on the ground floor.
Wednesday, there's lawyer lunch provided on 25th floor. And due to lots of work relevant to administrative law, I had to take time researching more and more.
October 02 back to workFinally the 1 term of Bar Exam is over...just yesterday. After the stressful 4-hour exam (approximately 6 p.m.) Kuk, Vem and I went to have dinner at Baan Nam Kiang Din, a nice farm-looking style restaurant. The recommended special dishes are German style sausages and Katoffelnpuere. We really had good time,sat there ate dinner and talked in many topics from 'camera' to 'nominee'. It was 10 p.m. that we went back home. Kuk drove to send Vem and me at our places.
And now I'm back to work. Today there're new staffs coming for the first day. Two of them are Vem and Boat from the same Law School as I am. :) October 01 Barrister-at-lawToday is a mourning Sunday...I've Barrister-at-law exam finally (the coup doesn't affect anything) Seven-day leave from work doesn't provide enough time for me for those more than ten subjects in this examination. Bet that I have to exam again next year. So the whole morning is spent on reading as usual but my mind is awaiting for the EMS postman. 11 a.m....can't go on reading...then I start doing the 'MULTIPLY' task until 12.15....finally he comes! and I get it in the perfect condition. Well, let's calculate my spending,,,,,>> except from the general expenses on eating and traveling, almost more than half of this month pocket money is spent on camera accessories. o_O Last week I bought a UV filter and the SG+6 delivered to me today was ordered last week as well. . Yesterday I bought a tripod and a lens cap (and coming back home finding out that dad also has a professional tripod one)
